For all our guests

Accessibility Statement

Last updated May 27, 2026

Miguel's Jr. is committed to making our food, our restaurants, and our digital experience welcoming and usable for everyone — guests of every ability, on every device, with every assistive technology.

We believe great hospitality starts with making sure every guest can find a seat at the table. That commitment extends to our website, our mobile experience, and the digital tools we use to serve you.

We work continuously to improve the accessibility of miguelsjr.com and the online services it offers — ordering, gift cards, locations, careers, and beyond — so that all of our guests can browse, order, and reach us with confidence.

We design and develop our website with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 Level AA in mind. These guidelines, published by the World Wide Web Consortium (W3C), help make web content more accessible to people with a wide range of disabilities — including visual, auditory, motor, speech, cognitive, and neurological differences.

WCAG 2.1 AA is also the standard widely referenced by the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) and the Unruh Civil Rights Act in California.

We've designed our site with accessibility in mind from the ground up. Features include:

  • Keyboard navigation — all interactive elements can be reached and operated using a keyboard alone.
  • Screen reader support — semantic HTML, ARIA labels, and meaningful page structure for assistive technologies like VoiceOver, NVDA, and JAWS.
  • Descriptive alternative text for menu items, product photos, and other meaningful imagery.
  • Sufficient color contrast between text and background so content remains legible.
  • Resizable text — content reflows cleanly when zoomed up to 200%.
  • Visible focus indicators so keyboard users always know where they are on the page.
  • Reduced motion — animations respect your device's reduce motion setting for guests who experience motion sensitivity.
  • Form labels and error messages that are programmatically associated with their fields and clearly communicated.

Accessibility isn't a one-time project — it's an ongoing practice. We regularly:

  • Test new features and pages with automated accessibility tools and manual review.
  • Audit existing pages for color contrast, keyboard reachability, and screen reader compatibility.
  • Update menu photography and content with descriptive alt text and clear language.
  • Train the people who build and update our site on accessible design and content.
  • Listen to feedback from guests and incorporate it into our roadmap.

Despite our best efforts, we know there are areas where the site may not yet meet every accessibility standard. Some known limitations include:

  • A small number of older PDFs and third-party menus may not yet be fully tagged for screen readers — we're working through them.
  • Some embedded content from third-party providers (such as job application portals, online ordering platforms, and map services) is outside our direct control. We choose partners with strong accessibility practices, but their experiences may vary.
  • Some legacy promotional imagery may lack ideal descriptive text; we replace these as we refresh content.

If you encounter any of these — or anything else that gets in your way — we want to know. See Tell us what you find below.

If you're having difficulty using any part of our website, we can help you directly. We can:

  • Help you place an order over the phone.
  • Read out menu items, prices, or location information.
  • Provide information from this site in another format upon request.
  • Answer questions about ingredients, allergens, or nutrition.

Just call us at (951) 371-7234 or email questions@miguelsjr.com, and a member of our team will be happy to assist.

Some areas of our site rely on third-party tools — for example, online ordering, career applications, gift card purchases, embedded maps, and analytics. While we make every reasonable effort to choose partners who share our accessibility values, we cannot guarantee that every third-party experience meets the same standards as the content we control directly.

If you run into a problem with a linked or embedded service, please let us know so we can pass the feedback along to our partner — and find an alternative way to get you what you need in the meantime.

Your feedback is the most important tool we have for getting better. If you've encountered a barrier on our site — anything that made it harder than it should be to find information, place an order, or contact us — please reach out.

When you reach out, it helps if you can tell us:

  • The page or feature you were using (a URL is great if you have one).
  • What you were trying to do.
  • What went wrong, or what got in the way.
  • The device, browser, or assistive technology you were using, if you're comfortable sharing.

We aim to respond to accessibility feedback within five business days, and we treat accessibility issues as a priority on our roadmap.
