We headed over to the Fox LA studios for their famous “Tailgate Thursday“ segment, but this wasn’t just any ordinary demo. Our very own co-founder, Mary Vasquez, took center stage to share the secret behind our famous homemade tamales.
Mary gave viewers an inside look at the traditional techniques and fresh, hand-selected ingredients that have made our seasonal tamales a Southern California staple for decades. From the perfect masa to our slow-cooked fillings, Mary showed the Good Day LA team exactly what “homemade” means at Miguel’s Jr.
The segment was such a hit that the story was even picked up by Yahoo Sports, bringing our flavor to a nationwide audience!

Setting the Trend: OC Register’s Best of 2025
While Mary was busy sharing our traditional roots on TV, our menu was also making waves in the press! We are thrilled to announce that our Caliente Chicken Bites were officially recognized by the OC Register.
In their recent feature, “From Dubai chocolate to hot honey, these 5 food fads made 2025 delicious” our spicy, crispy bites were named one of the top food trends of the year. It’s the perfect blend of our classic heat and modern cravings.
